01. Atmor Tankless Water Heater Reset Button Location
In an Atmor tankless water heater, there are three reset buttons. However, not all Atmor tankless water heaters have reset buttons. Only the ThermoPro and ThermoPro 2 series of Atmor tankless water heaters come with those reset buttons.
In these water heaters, there are 3 reset buttons which are located on the control panel. When you remove the cover of your tankless water heater, you will notice two heating elements. The first reset button will be on the upper left side of the left heating element. And the other two reset buttons will be on the top of each heating element.

If you are a user of Atmor instant water heater 100 Series, you will get 1 reset button in the water heater. In these water heaters, the reset button is located outside the unit. So, it’s easier to find and use it.
In these water heaters, there are two knobs and between those two knobs, there are three buttons on the upper cover. Those three buttons are called B, C, and D. The C button or the middle button is the reset button which is in the middle of the test and pump buttons.

How To Reset The Atmor Water Heater? – Tankless Models
Due to overheating, high water pressure, or any other electrical issue, the reset button of your Atmor tankless water heater can get tripped. In these cases, you need to reset the unit in order to get hot water again.
Follow the resetting process mentioned below to reset your Atmor tankless water heater.
Step 1: Ensure Safety
The resetting process involved opening the front cover and handling the wirings inside the heater. Also, according to the Atmor ThermoPro Series Manual, it is very important to make sure, no electrical power is reaching the unit.
So, before you start the resetting process, make sure your circuit breaker is OFF to avoid any electrical accidents. Also, after turning the power off, give your heater some time to cool off before touching it.
Step 2: Remove the Cover
As the reset buttons in this water heater are located inside the cover, you have to remove the cover to access them. On the sides of the water heater, you’ll find two bolts on each side. Use an adjustable wrench to remove them. Once the bolts are removed, carefully take off the cover.
Step 3: Locate the Reset Buttons

Step 4: Reset the Water Heater
Once you have found all the buttons, it’s time to reset the heater. To reset your ATmor tankless water heater, start by pressing the red reset button located on the side.
Next, press the two red reset buttons one by one on the top of the heating elements. I always find these two buttons a bit tricky to reach. You need nimble fingers to reach them.
When you press these buttons, listen for a “click” sound. This sound indicates that the reset has been successful.

Now that you are done with resetting the heater, you have to reassemble the heater. Install the cover of the heater to its position and secure it tightly with the bolts.

The resetting process of Atmor instant water heaters including the Atmor 100 series is different from the resetting process of the tankless heaters. Here’s how to reset an Atmor instant water heater.
When you have done any maintenance to your Atmor instant water heater or there has been a power cut-off, the heater will shut itself down and will remain in this position until you reset it. Resetting these water heaters is very simple.
You just have to press the “Reset” or “C” button on your Atmor instant water heater. And the unit will reset itself and go back to its regular function.
